Ntone Denare is a past member of “The Hooley Dooleys”. He will be performing a brand new show using his unique style of musical comedy. The show “The Musician” is interactive and educational entertainment for children, introducing them to guitar, trombone and violin.

A CHILDISH THOUGHT BY BEA BELLINGHAM
Join artist and illustrator Bea Bellingham in opening her debut solo exhibition A Childish Thought at Pine Street Gallery, Chippendale. Packed with wit and nostalgia, the show explores the brilliance and humor of childish curiosity.
Bellingham’s combination of traditional representative techniques with vibrant colour pallets, typographical elements and playful themes create a body of acrylic on canvas work that challenges the viewer to embrace inquisitiveness.

Jazz music is a form of expression; a musician’s soul, hands and voice is integral to each performance. In a unique and personal Glebe Late Night Library, join musician Don Reid (Crossfire) and friends as they share with you their absolute favourite songs and the stories behind their choices. Deni Hines and her smoking hot band hit The Vanguard with an exceptional collection of songs that are near and dear to Deni’s heart. NAIDOC WEEK AT SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
As the country celebrates Australia’s Aboriginal and Islander peoples and culture through NAIDOC week events across the country, Sydney Opera House takes a refreshing look into contemporary Indigenous life and cultural identity.
NAIDOC week at the Sydney Opera House from 4 – 6 July celebrates, elevates and plays with the unexpected in indigenous contemporary culture.
Whether we debate topics around Aboriginal racial and sexual identity or dive into the complicated questions of sovereignty, treaty and the constitution in Australia, we examine issues experienced by First Nations and homosexual communities worldwide.
The diversity of our global artists and the collaboration we will see in theatre, film, talks and cabaret art will encourage you to change perceptions and adjust your ‘Native Gayze’.
You will be surprised by the commonalties across First Nations experiences – from the affectionate parody of a ‘Country Superstar’, to a sparkling mix of song, satire and spoken word. During NAIDOC Week at the Sydney Opera House there is the prickly, the polished and the downright crass. We look forward to seeing you there.

BANGARRA DANCE THEATRE 'PATYEGARANG'
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2014, Bangarra – Australia’s multi award winning dance theatre company – tells the story of Patyegarang, the inspirational journey of a potent Indigenous spirit alive in Australia’s past and present.
As the colonial fleet arrived on Eora country in the late 18th Century, Patyegarang befriended the colony’s timekeeper, Lieutenant William Dawes, gifting him her language in an extraordinary display of trust and friendship, which now inspires our imaginations about ‘first contact’.
In Dawes’ notebooks, rediscovered in 1972, are transcripts of this remarkable cultural exchange. Patyegarang’s words are a window into a rich, complex and utterly different perspective on her world, its values and its sacred meanings.
This deeply moving production is told through the acclaimed creativity of Stephen Page’s choreography and David Page’s soundscape, in a powerful and meaningful dance theatre experience.

City Recital Hall Presents La Rêvolution A Bastille Day concert
La Rêvolution takes us to the heart of the French Romantic Operatic era, the passionate world of the Parisian salons and the languid, joyous insouciance of French Impressionism. Artistic director, Jane Rutter has created a seductive program which includes: Ravel's La Flûte Enchantée, Piece en Forme de Habanera and Chansons à Boire, Fauré’s Sicilienne and Après un Rêve, Debussy’s Claire de Lune, Cole Porter’s So In Love and Eric Satie's classical Parisian cabaret favourite La Diva de l’Empire. With excerpts from Bizet's Carmen and Les Pecheurs de Perle, and musical délices by Hahn, Messager, Chausson, Poulenc, Offenbach, and Saint-Saëns, Bastille Day never looked this good!
