 My Spanish is very limited-“Dos  cervezas,por favor!” and a few  others…..that are not printable here!  This lack of language fluency does  not prohibit me in any way from  having a passion for the music of  Spain and Spanish speaking  countries.Their rhythms,their emotions,their compositions,their boleros,their tangos,their mambos and…. all inspire me every time I listen to music with a latin influence.When I was made aware that Diego El Cigala (pic. far left) was visiting Australia, I was delighted- I had the opportunity of working with him and Bebo Valdes on the album ‘Lagrimas Negras’-it was a success in many non Spanish speaking countries in addition to his native Spain.Diego is the catalyst for today’s program featuring from left to right Buika,Magos Y Limon,Celia Cruz, Paco De Lucia, Benny More, Buena Vista Social Club and more.Songs that are familiar and some that are not, but all with that Latin flair to excite and energise you, to romance you and dance with you,to allow you to listen to refreshing music – music that will touch your soul whether it be up-tempo,mid-tempo or bolero- its all there for your listening pleasure.
