The Nib Nominations Are In
Nominations for Waverley Library’s literary award, the Nib, recently closed and the panel of judges has begun the arduous but fascinating task of working its way through the 144 submitted books.
The Nib Award offers an annual winner’s prize of $20,000, six shortlisted prizes of $1,000 each, and a People’s Choice prize of $500. Voting on the People’s Choice award begins in October, after the release of the judges’ short list. We will let you know when the list is published, to give you plenty of time to catch up with this year’s best books and make your decision. In the meantime, Waverley Library is encouraging everyone to come in and borrow from their enormous store of previous winners and nominations, stretching back to the beginning of the award in 2002.
Waverley Library is currently seeking your feedback, to influence the future direction of the Nib. You can respond to their survey HERE, until 15 August.
