Sydney Soul Weekender 2014 celebrates Northern Soul

The best local and interstate DJ’s of Australia are coming together in August to celebrate the Sydney Soul Weekender 2014. From August 29th-31st, Sydney will be celebrating some of the best classic, crossover and modern soul ever with sets played exclusively off vinyl records.

Northern Soul has its roots set in the North of England in the 60’s that has expanded over the years to include a strong connection with Australia and in particular Sydney.

It is considered to be one of the longest lasting music scenes in the history of music. The idea is simple; just dance and have a good time while listening to American classic soul artists who remain as obscure as when they first released their music!
