Dial Afrika – Memories of the Struggle

Remember, all Eastside shows can be replayed for four weeks via our Program Guide.

Memories Of The Struggle – Australians Against Apartheid

PJ is back in the chair for Dial Afrika this Wednesday, with a special show talking to Angus Leendertz about a new exhibition.

Memories of the Struggle – Australians Against Apartheid documents Australia’s substantial historical links with, and support for, the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa. With a display of photographic and other material that weaves together a narrative of Australia’s involvement in the struggle to end apartheid in South Africa, the exhibition illustrates anti-apartheid activity from the 1960s to the system’s eventual end in 1994.

Curator and driving force behind the exhibition, Angus Leendertz will be in the Eastside studio to talk to PJ about what the exhibition will share about this side of Australia and South Africa’s linked past.

Exhibition Details: Customs House, Ground Floor, Level 1 and Level 2 15 September – 26 October 2014
