The Gloaming – Music at the house
The well-known Irish contemporary music supergroup is ready to make their Australian debut with their signature take on traditional Irish folk.
The group is probably the mostly highly respected and innovative force in contemporary Irish music in the world today. The Gloaming was formed in Ireland 2011 consisting of musicans Martin Hayes, Iarla O Lionaird, Caoimhin O Raghallaigh, Dennis Cahill and New York pianist/producer Thomas Bartlett.
The New Yorker has remarked that “The Gloaming moves the music of Ireland in captivating new directions”, and The Irish Times has called their live performances “revelatory” and “likely to cement as one of the great forces in Irish music”. Check them out:

Forging a restlessly independent path since the release of their critically acclaimed debut on Brassland records, The Gloaming have maintained a mythical aura as each member has continued solo success in the wake of the group’s watershed demand. Now bringing their album to the surrounds of the Concert Hall stage, the popular group will make their debut at the Sydney Opera House a memorable moment for the audience.
