Radical Son Cause ‘n affect

Radical Son brings a lifetime of experience to an album that successfully traverses a variety of musical styles, including the incorporation of snippets of spoken word featuring the instantly recognisable voice of Archie Roach. Radical Son, aka David Leha’s voice is rich and soulful, overlaying tracks incorporating reggae, soul  and hip hop.

The use of a prominent brass section compliments David Leha’s voice remarkably well.  Few singers have a voice that can compete with a loud horns section, but David has one of those rare voices, and it works a treat.

It’s near impossible to make an album as eclectic as this and not have both hits and misses, but still, the album manages to be so much more than the sum of it’s parts, creating a carefully structured, well flowing album.  Cause ‘n affect truly deserves to be a success.  Take time out to listen to the album as a whole, marvel at the talents of all the musicians involved in this project and know for sure that we’re going to be hearing more of this talented group in the future.
