ALI CAMPBELL + LIONEL COLE ON FRIDAY DRIVE
On Friday Drive this week, Stacy has a very special co-host with her in the studio – Lionel Cole.
To add even more excitement to the mix, they will be interviewing Ali Campbell.
Ali Campbell is a British singer, solo artist and songwriter who was the lead singer and a founding member of UB40. As part of UB40, Campbell sold over 70 million records worldwide and toured the globe for 30 years. Recently he reunited with former UB40 band mates Astro and Mikey again to release a new album, Silhouettes.
Lionel Cole was born in New York City and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He has the music already in his roots, with his uncle Nat King Cole and father Freddy Cole, Grammy nominated jazz singer, setting the standard. But these days, Lionel Cole is happy to rely on his own talents as pianist, songwriter, singer with a soulful baritone voice and mentor to some of Australia’s best up and coming talent. Currently he is the lead singer of his band “Cole Soul and Emotion”. Striking examples which reflect the extent of his career are his co-written songs with Mariah Carey, being a touring member of her band, as well as a part of Robert Downey Junior’s band and his performances on the Ellen and Oprah shows.
So turn on the radio 4pm Friday for Stacey together with Ali Campbell and Lionel Cole. It’s going to be a fantastic show!
