All About Women Festival 2015

To coincide with International Women’s Day, the Sydney Opera House will play host to a festival that deals souly with the ideas of women.

All About Women is a festival where local and international women’s rights icons will gather in Sydney to talk about important ideas that mean something to women. The festival encourages us to discuss issues that affect women in day to day life and work and to flurry up some ideas and stories to invigorate us.

The festival has some major names coming to speak at the show, including international guests Elizabeth Gilbert, Roxanne Gay and Anita Sarkeesian as well as some local icons such as Germaine Greer, Annabel Crabb, Helen Garner and many more.

The speakers will be participating in talks, panels and performances that explore their experiences in their lives. Topics such as feminism, sex, drugs, saving the planet, women in popular culture, creativity and women in old and new literature are just some of the topics that will be covered by the talks, which allow for a wide range of discussions to join. The audience is encouraged to participate in the discussions as well, which gives everyone an opportunity to be heard.
