ARTS WEDNESDAY

Arts Wednesday 11 February 2015

At about 10:40 am, in Part 2 of our series on the Royal Botanic Gardens, I am joined by Jimmy Turner, Director of Horticulture Management at the gardens. Jimmy hails from Texas, so we are treated to his wonderful accent while he  explains his role.

Earlier this year, Treasurer Joe Hockey said that we need to allow for children born today who will live to be 150. How fanciful is this statement and how realistic? Dr Ginni Mansberg talks us through this complex subject. Ginni is a GP, author and media personality, best known as the doctor on Sunrise and the Morning Show and, I’m pleased to say, no stranger to Arts Wednesday.

First and last music tracks today will be botanical, as will each show while the Royal Botanic Gardens series runs. In between, I’ll be playing music about ageing.

As always, I look forward to your company!
