At 10:40 am this week we hear Part 5 of the series on the Royal Botanic Gardens and the herbarium is today’s topic with Dr Dale Dixon and Gill Toweller, former and current managers of the herbarium.

My special guest at 11:00 am is Maisy Stapleton, Eastside’s own Maisy, best known as the presenter of Arts Thursday. However, my interest is changing fashion in museums and Maisy is a revered figure in the museum industry, so who better to tell us how museums changed from the dark, quiet, dusty and often boring places of our childhood into the vibrant, noisy, high-tech places they are today.
