TIME TO SAY GOODBYE – THE WEDNESDAY NIGHTSHIFT WITH GABY AND HELENA

Vibrant. Great Chat. Sassy. – that probably describes Wednesday night shift best!

Time goes by so quickly! Unfortunately, it’s almost the end of our internship and we have to say goodbye listeners! 🙁 Gaby and I are finishing next week, going straight into travelling around Australia and Asia. We’ll definitely going to miss Eastside and have to say goodbye with a crying and laughing eye. We learned a lot through our working experience here at Eastside radio and we got a full understanding of how a radio channel works and what it’s like working there. We had much fun, especially improving in areas that we’re interested in. We got deeper into the Australian working culture, inspired by the relaxed and laid-back mentality and met many wonderful people at the station. There’s no doubt, that our weekly radio show is one of our personal highlights, we’ve experienced, while doing our internship. Taking over Wednesday night shift was a great honor for us, enjoying it every week over and over again. Hosting a radio show was probably the most challenging, but also the most fun and rewarding task. This experience has involved us both making waves in a field that we both have a passion for.

But how got everything started? Gabby and I were always really interested in presenting, after we got offered the chance, we thought we would strike while the iron is hot and start as soon as possible. First our plans were a little up in the air, but we soon figured out what concept we like to follow and what we want to talk about in our show. Each week, we spice it up with a different, cheeky topic. From Germany vs. England to Sports, Grammies, Unbelievable stories over Passion and Wanderlust. There’s something for everyone.

A big thanks to all listeners who tuned in every Wednesday night, all Aussies, as well as our relatives and friends back in Europe. We love to entertain you guys, giving you the best music, related to a certain topic every week.
