A Taste of Honey April 30 2015

Conceived by UNESCO as a yearly event every April 30th, it was organised to celebrate the following;
Quote “to celbrate the viurtues of Jazz as an educational tool, and a force of peace, unity, dialogue and enhanced co-operation among people” -lofty words in a troubled world and certainly grounded in hope.
I certainly find music a very calming influence on my life and I am sure that the ambassadors of the art of Jazz in all its forms, try their very best to spread the word to their audiences but it’s huge and complex task.
Would that this task of bringing peace,unity,dialogue and co-operation was as simple as having those talented people from wherever in the world and whatever they play being able to achieve over time what the world’s leaders are not able to achieve despite their flying around to meetings in exotic locations to talkfests about everything with few resolutions.
Im not being cynical, I’m just frustrated at the simple things not being done well by everyone that calls themselves leaders- i worry about the future for my children and grandchildren and my family and friend’s families also – I endeavour to instill some common threads of unity for the future in my family – perhaps if we all make the effort regularly it will slowly have an impact on the future piece by piece.
If music can play an Integral part which I am sure it can, then all the better.
