A Taste of Honey June 24 2015

 In 1970 or somewhat earlier Joni Mitchell wrote he song “A Case Of You”.It featured on her album BLUE.
I am in awe of people like Joni who can write lyrics that just blow you away.
“OH I COULD DRINK A CASE OF YOU DARLING
AND STILL BE ON MY FEET”
And then there are the interpreters of great lyrics- Diana Krall is featured on this week’s program with her critically       acclaimed live version of Joni’s outstanding song:

I n addition there are another 15 great reasons to enjoy this program including Nina Simone, Donny Hathaway & Roberta Flack, She And Him, Patti Smith.Duffy, Curtis Stigers, Jane Monheit and more who interpret some of the best contemporary songs of all time.
I personally like these versions and leave you to make your own decision as to positives(and negatives)-its all a matter of personal taste.
I do however endeavour to play tracks that please and make the songs resonate  and are not the obvious commercial choices.
