‘Below Drifting Skies’ now showing at SOHO Galleries

This July, SOHO Galleries are presenting an exhibition of simplicity and delicacy by Australian artist Marshall Williams. Called ‘Below Drifting Skies’, the show focuses on Williams’ fascination with water, the sea and the sky, a theme that has presented itself in much of Williams’ art.

Marshall Williams hails from Melbourne and works as a full time artist in his studio that overlooks Port Phillip Bay, a factor that has greatly influenced his work. Having obtained a degree in Fine Art from Monash University, Williams has taught fine art and photography extensively over a large number of different art schools.

Known for his contemporary take on classic realism, this show is a homage to his interest in water, the sea and sky. He aims to show off the objects that revolved around these subjects and portray them in a way that makes them seem real.

SOHO have shown works by Williams extensively over the past few years, with Below Drifting Skies being his sixth exhibition with that space.

The show is showing at SOHO Galleries until the 31st of July. For more information, check out the SOHO website.
