This week sees the start of a new series of six, entitled Major Musical Moments. I will be pleased to introduce you to Andy Bromberger, who combines her love of music and history in lecture series she gives. In Part 1this week, we hear about Notation.

At 11:00 am, my special guest is Margaret Betteriidge, curator of the Sydney Town Hall. We recorded our interview in the impossibly beautiful Lady Mayoress’ room in the Town Hall and talked about history, collections and curiosities.

Because of the civic nature of today’s interview, music  focuses on cities.
