Yellamundie Festival

Eastside presenter Jorjia Gillis spoke to Frederick Copperwaite, the Artistic Director of  Yellamundie, the 2015 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Playwriting Festival.

Yellamundie (Darug word for storyteller) is an artistic and cultural meeting place. Aboriginal playwrights, actors, directors and dramaturges will gather from across Australia to give voice to six new plays.

This is the second Yellamundie festival after a successful season in 2013. Yellamundie takes place at Carriageworks this weekend.
