fornicating christmas sea forests

crayweeddressmaker_2

When he’s not surfing Dr Ziggy Marzinelli is usually busy gently tending the fronds of fornicating sea forests – crayweed is his pet subject, and with a successful crowd funding effort his team of green thumbed ecologists are happily impregnating Operation Crayweed from Palm Beach to Cronulla. He joined us this week to discuss the extraordinary power of healthy sea forests in the fight to sequester excess carbon from our rapidly overheating biosphere – you actually can buy an underwater Christmas tree this year if you are keen to nurture our once fecund coastline back to its original underwater richness. https://www.operationcrayweed.com/ You can support their pozible campaign at https://www.pozible.com/project/202503

Riley Lavelle Long, our resident new romantic cineaste discussed the new Rocky sequel Creed, and we had a little ramble about the sumptuous new hit Aussie film, The Dressmaker.

We were also graced by the presence of Randwick tree lover Adnil Ramos who is doing bike tours of Randwick’s most significant trees to raise awareness about the 400 local trees that could disappear in January when the new light rail project cuts a swathe from the city to the coast. This can be stopped. If you’d like to learn more email adnilramos@yahoo.com We hope you’ll wrap your ears around us once again next Monday for Drive.
