Birds of the Moon, rare Rhinos, and ocean plastic peril

today we’re split between ecstasy and environmental agony as we discuss everything from Miriam Lieberman’s beautiful new album, Birds Of the Moon, to the toxic reality of plastic rubbish filling up our oceans. At 4.30 rhino activist Ray Dearlove will tell us why we need rhinos, and describe some of the adventures he’s had as a wildlife activist confronting the huge illegal trade in rare wildlife. At 5pm Dr Jenny Lavers will give us a scientist’s perspective on all the plastic rubbish invading our ecosystems, and at 530 Miriam Lieberman will join us in the studio for a live musical interlude.
