daffodilsNew Zealand playwright and co-creative director, Rochelle Bright is bringing her award-winning show ‘Daffodils’ to Australia. This bittersweet love story is set to a live indie-rock soundtrack of New Zealand’s greatest hits. Daffodils which uncovers the lives of two teenagers who first met in a field of daffodils, was inspired by true events and based on private letters, interviews and family myths. The production unfolds against a backdrop of 1960s Kodak stills, Super8 home movies and fashion photography created by one of New Zealand’s leading image makers, Garth Badger (Lorde, Nike). Daffodils features kiwi hits by bands including Crowded House, LIPS, Th’ Dudes, The Swingers and Blam Blam Blam.
