Featured Guests at Eastside
Over the last couple of weeks Eastside Radio has had the pleasure of featuring some talented guests. Keep listening for more amazing guests and music in the coming months.
Paula Langlands recently had Barbara Morrison on her show Personalities in Jazz. Barbara is from Michigan USA and has been performing an array of styles such as, jazz, blues, gospel, and soul. Barbara has worked on multiple movie soundtracks and over 20 recordings.

Deni Hines was at Eastside last week on Friday Arvo with Susan Gai Dowling. Hines has been performing since she was 15, and is one of Australia’s most well known singers, with multiple hit singles and collaborations with some great artists such as Beyonce and James Morrison. Her latest album was a Jazz duet with James Morrison called “The Other Woman” and was released in late 2007.
Deni performed Friday April 23 at The Basement.
Wally Wrightman with regular guest, John the Poet, on In Town Today had guests Mal Web and Sam Rodgers to promote their show with Mr Percival held in March. Mal Webb is a vocalist and multi- instrumentalist from Melbourne and is both a solo performer and works with numerous bands. Sam Rogers is originally form San Francisco and is known as the one mouth band, able to create all the sounds of a band with his voice alone.
Both Mal and Sam performed with Mr Percival at Quirkz at the end of March.
On Paula Langlands show Personalities of Jazz, she had on guest Bonnie J Jensen. Ms Jensen is both an acoustic and jazz singer hailing from New Zealand, but now based in Sydney. Her new album “Shimmer” was released this year and is a collection of diverse music and original compositions. Currently the feature album of Eastside FM for this week, “Shimmer” is a album that is lively yet sultry.
