Come on a journey inside the largest scientific experiment ever constructed. Buried deep under the border between Switzerland and France, CERN’s Large Hadron Collider is the work of 10,000 men and women from across the globe, united in their quest to uncover the fundamental building blocks of our universe.

This immersive exhibition from Science Museum, London, blends theatre, video and sound art with real artefacts from CERN, recreating a visit to the famous particle physics laboratory. Go behind the scenes to witness the uncovering of the Higgs boson, explore the 27-km collider and its cathedral-sized detector caverns, and discover how studying the subatomic world can point the way to a fuller understanding of our universe. Hear how Australian researchers and students are involved in this experiment that is at the frontier of scientific innovation.

“Two of our favourite activities come together for a week-long Silent Disco Ice Skating Festival.”

Popping up September 23 to 29, skating will be open 10am to 8pm daily. The Silent Disco activation is from 4pm each afternoon and the first 100 people on the ice after this time will receive a bonus $10 voucher.

We are all bigs kids at heart and this family friendly Skating Festival is free for all to attend.

Capacity is limited to 45 people on the ice at any one time so sessions will run for 45 minutes, on the hour, every hour.

Greg Constantine is an award-winning photographer from the United States.

Exiled To Nowhere: Burma’s Rohingya is a result of nine years of work and twelve trips to Bangladesh and Burma from 2006 to 2014. It aims to provide evidence of the desperate situation the Rohingya face in Burma and Bangladesh and it hopes to highlight the need for solutions to what is one of the longest and most extreme situations of statelessness and human rights abuse in the world today. The project shares the stories and plight of a people who right now have no-where to go and provides evidence of their courage to stay alive whatever the ground beneath their feet.

Celebrating the beloved original, Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady is now playing at the Sydney Opera House, under the direction of Julie Andrews and with an outstanding cast.

The Cinderella story about the Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle and the appealingly arrogant phoneticist, Professor Higgins, is an endearing tale that charms audiences with its warmth and vivid characters.

The clash of cultures sparks some of the theatre’s most jubilant songs and witty dialogue.

In a world first, Julie Andrews will direct a glorious production of My Fair Lady, teaming up with the Tony Award-winning Christopher Gattelli and associates of the musical’s original designers, Cecil Beaton and Oliver Smith.

A stellar line-up of Australian stars and theatre royalty for the highly anticipated opening of Lerner & Loewe’s My Fair Lady have been announced.

Headlining the new company are acclaimed British performer Alex Jennings as Professor Higgins and young Australian star, Anna O’Byrne, as Eliza Doolittle. Joining them is an outstanding cast. Reg Livermore will play the role of Alfred P. Doolittle. Robyn Nevin will play Mrs. Higgins and Mark Vincent will play Freddy Eynsford-Hill. The role of Colonel Hugh Pickering will be played by Tony Llewellyn-Jones and Deidre Rubenstein will play Mrs. Pearce.
