Your Business, Night School For Creatives

Over four Wednesday evenings in winter, the City of Sydney will be inviting industry experts to share their knowledge with local arts, cultural and creative businesses.
Session Two: Your Business
For not-for-profit arts organisations, working for purpose over profit can present challenges in knowing the right organisational structure for you. Simon Joyce from YCG and Suzanne Derry from Arts Law take a look at business structures for creative workers, good governance and financial literacy for non-profits.
Spaces are limited, you must book to attend. Totally free.

Thinkers and Dreamers

Stanley Street Gallery is now in its 5th year. As artists and now gallerists, they have always been passionately interested in “object” based works. It is this fascination and intent on exhibiting 3D work that was the stimulus for thinkers and dreamers.
The exhibition thinkers and dreamers invites 10 contemporary artists engaged with the 3D to explore their studio and put forward several intimately scaled “object” based works from any stage in their career. To rediscover works that perhaps they’ve never aired before, but would love to.
On until the 8th of July.

We Love UK

Like all of us, The Soda Factory have been shocked and saddened by the recent attacks in Manchester & London. They are hosting a fundraiser to help those affected, and in recognition of the influence these two cities have had on music – with 100% of proceeds donated to the British Red Cross ‘We Love Manchester’ & ‘UK Solidarity’ emergency funds. This special tribute to their music features over 6 hours of live music and DJ’s. Expect tunes from the likes of Oasis, Blur, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, Paul Weller, Suede, Happy Mondays & many many more.
Doors open at 5pm, music from 7pm.
