The radio show is designed for adults both young and old with special needs and is produced in conjunction with Windgap, The Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation and your favourite radio station. The aim is to have fun in a supportive and respectful setting, and to give a mainstream audience the opportunity to listen to insights that people with disabilities bring to our community. We could not have been prouder of this group of amazing broadcasters!
On Tuesday the 30th of September 2014, the Voices of the Tigers took over Eastside Radio 89.7 FM, and recorded a half-hour show with the help of mentors and volunteers. The group of six young people aged 18-22 discussed their favourite foods, other patrons talking at the cinema, a dearly departed four legged friend and more insights, humour and music.
