Going Green in Waikiki – a wiser choice for accommodation in Hawaii

On my recent visit to Waikiki I was overwhelmed by the abundance of accommodation choices on this famous strip in the city of Honolulu on Hawaii’s island of Oahu. For me, being green is important, because whilst we holiday Mother Earth doesn’t, so when I read about the green initiatives of a resort within my budget, well – the choice was made!

Aqua Bamboo & Spa  has numerous programs in place such as the use of green product cleaners and the elimination of all aerosols. On March 22, 2010, Aqua Bamboo & Spa was one of nine hotels recognized by the Department of Business and Economic Development for the State of Hawai‘i for its green initiatives. Well done to Aqua!
