From the age of 8, Catherine McGregor knew she was a woman. But first she would have to live as a man. She played many parts: son, brother, husband, athlete, soldier, speech writer.
Every day was a challenge. In 2012, aged 56, McGregor faced a turning point: end her life, or transition as a woman. Drawn directly from countless hours of interviews with McGregor, Still Point Turning tells her story in her own words.

Learn to juggle in a fun and self-paced workshop, in the beautiful surrounds of Centennial Park – or a location of your choice.
Stepan, a juggling expert, will share his tips and tricks to ensure that even the most uncoordinated amongst us will be juggling fluidly by the end of the class.
Don’t worry, you’ll start with easy and durable objects to juggle. You won’t be seeing any knives, chainsaws, cats or flaming torches!
Juggling has many benefits, including sharpening focus and concentration and being a method of stress-relief. It maintains and increases range of motion in the arms and shoulders, improves coordination, wards off food cravings, and it’s an exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise.
Juggling is like riding a bike. The basics can be a little tricky to grasp (hence the need for this class), but once you’ve got the basic techniques down, you’ll be able to continue your juggling journey easily.

A young woman tragically dies under mysterious circumstances on the eve of her wedding. A low whistle, a heavy metallic clang. No reason for her death is ever discovered.
Her twin sister is distraught but life must go on and her own wedding is approaching. And then late at night, she hears a low whistle in the dark.
This adaptation remains faithful to the original spine tingling short story from Conan Doyle. The atmosphere of the Genesian Theatre will serve to bring the gothic thrill to life in this Australian premiere of a new adaptation from British playwright Max Gee.

Aussie Street 2018 presents a selection of the best contemporary street photography revealing the diversity, strangeness, and wonder of everyday life in Australia through the practice of candid street photography.
As a featured exhibition in the Head On photography festival program, Aussie Street 2018 will be held in the heart of Sydney at 541 Art Space from 5 to 15 May.
An opening night celebration takes place on Wednesday 9 May from 6pm to 9pm.
The exhibition features a core group of 8 photographers. As well as 21 images from finalists in the inaugural Aussie Street competition.
