Mullum Music Festival is back to transform a small town into a vibrant festival site!
From humble beginnings, the picturesque village of Mullumbimby has hosted the Mullum Music Festival since its inception in 2008.
Nestled amongst the surrounding mountains in the Byron Bay hinterland, this diverse community of just over 3000 people has embraced this very different type of music event. The last decade has seen more than 600 world-class artists and thousands of people make their way to the festival, not bad for a little festival that started on the night of the electrical storm of the decade!
“It’s a great feeling returning to the usually sleepy township of Mullumbimby … It’s a beautiful, restful place any time you drop by, but you know that for one weekend a year it’s transformed into a vibrant mecca of music and community, and during that window
there’s no better place to be.” – The Music
In 2018 we are thrilled to welcome one of our most dynamic and inclusive line-ups to date…
No gates. No big headlines. No VIP areas. Basically a ‘No hassle’ festival. A festival where artists and performers mingle, where shows are held in halls, clubs and pubs rather than tents, and instead of driving hours to park in a field and trudge on site, patrons become enmeshed in the spirit of a vibrant village.
Mullum has been blessed with the likes of The Church, Tash Sultana, Ron Sexsmith (CAN), Jon Cleary (US), Skunkhour, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Willie Watson (US), Montaigne, Olympia, The Basics with Wally De Backer (Gotye), Marlon Williams, Robert Forster, Pieta Brown, Mama Kin, Arte Kanella, Megan Washington, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Henry Wagons, Sticky Fingers, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, King Tide, Tinpan Orange, Jordie Lane and Mojo JuJu to just name a few…
In an era where people seek connection and community, Mullum Music Festival strikes the perfect balance, bringing music lovers together to experience a unique and carefully crafted program. Don’t miss the 11th summer festivities this November!
