A taste of Honey 22nd December

 I hope somewhere in the presents that you unwrap is some music ……music is the gift that keeps on giving and hopefully the playlist below will give you and your loved ones some ideas(if not too late for this year)OR some for the new year….Stacey Kent has become a favourite of mine,particularly some of her originals(and her jazz standards are pretty good too)….thanks Wally for this inspiration!!!!!! and to Phil for sending me some new non-pop Curtis Stigers(pic. right)…how good are his jazz and standard arrangements-OUTSTANDING( a long  way from the  sax player that wanted to be a pop star who I worked with in the 80’s)..and there’s She and Him(above) for a little listen outside your musical safety zone-or revisiting 50’s calypso with Harry Belafonte and the magical piano of Errol Garner…..ENJOY the music and my best wishes for a fabulous holiday season with your loved ones.
