A Taste Of Honey – Anzac Day -April 25 2013
John Schumann(Redgum)(left)Eric Bogle(right)both wrote sad but incredibly powerful songs about different wars and the affects they had on this country and its young individuals-both songs featured today are also preserved in APRA’s top 30 Australian Songs of all time-a major achievement. It s a difficult task to play poignant songs about war and entertain at the same time while showing respect to those who have made it possible to live as we do today-some might say that nothing has changed and I guess in part they may be right BUT in the words of Louis “POPS”Armstrong, “What A Wonderful World” and for the most part it is.Enjoy your music always….some great thoughts in today’s songs’ lyrics all delivered from the heart and soul of the artistes featured.
