A Taste Of Honey August 16 2012

What a great closing show at the 2012 Olympics-after 50 years Ray Davies and The Who still cutting it…with great music…RIP Marvin Hamlisch, only one of eleven artistes to recieve an Emmy,a Tony,an Academy award(3) and a Pulitzer-from bubblegum sounds of ‘Sunshine.Lollipops and Rainbows’ to ‘The Way We Were’.The Busby Berkley Of Cocktail Music-Esquivel(pic.left) features on ‘Malaguena’ and i’m getting in some practice for 2016 in Rio with ‘Mas Que Nada’ and ‘Desafinado’-sharpening up the samba moves  with a little cuban music in between.Linda Ronstadt(pic.right) has given us a legacy of music from country to pop to Latin and great standards in her 30 studio album career and deserves a spot on Eastsidefm’s ‘A Taste Of Honey’…look for some Nelson Riddle arrangements in future weeks..check out the magic of Stan Getz and Nat’King’Cole ….back in seven days with MUCH MORE  MUSIC just  for YOU!!!..
