I was brought up in an orthodox Jewish home(as much as one could be in New Zealand)but as kids we always got ‘Chanukah Gelt’ and Christmas presents as my parents did not want us to feel any different to the rest of the kids-I loved being in the Christmas plays and the school choirs from primary thru secondary school and singing carols and Christmas standards was always a highlight of the year.I hope you enjoy this selection with duets from David Bowie and Bing Crosby(pic left),Andrea Bocelli and Natalie Cole(pic right),Rod Stewart and Karise Eden(Australia’s 2012 ‘The Voice’ winner,Leon Redbone,The Beach Boys,Pink Martini ,Chris Isaak and a few other favourites interpreting songs from the 15th to the 21st century.My best wishes to you and your loved ones for a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year in 2013.
