A Taste Of Honey December 29th
What a year…..where did it go?…..the music keeps coming……….old friends and new friends singing and playing the standards and providing some new outstanding gems for all your listening pleasure(and I enjoy finding it all for you)….25 different versions of “A Taste of Honey” so far and my favourite from a listening standpoint is the Lizz Wright’s(pic. left) version with Bill Frisell.2012 also enabled me to find Kenny Rankin and his great version of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”,Don McLean’s album “For The Memories” and Marc Cohn’s”70’s Listening Booth”…..and then there was the four cd set “The Verve Story” providing constant classic jazz and “The Lester Young Sessions”….no shortage for choice and 2012 is looking musically fabulous….have a happy and prosperous new year and I look forward to your company every Thursday on “A Taste Of Honey ” from 9-10.30 am.Love to hear your comments at stuart@eastsidefm.org.
