A Taste Of Honey December 5 2013
Today I had the opportunity to have as my guest Rocky Douche, who apart from being a very good friend of mine, was a pioneer Radio New Zealand programme producer and built a very successful studio, recording New Zealand artistes. Not only are we both proud Kiwis but also true passionate lovers of music through and through, so I decided to pick some outstanding tracks from our respective careers in the music business both International and domestic,by NZ artistes that proves my point “Its All About The Music”.From Ricky May(pic.left)who made his home in Australia to Sir Howard Morrison(pic.right) whose voice equals all those International stars of the 50’s and 60’s that sang the great standards. ARIA Hall Of Famers,Max Merritt and Dragon are featured along with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa,Rob Guest & Tina Cross, newcomers Solo 3 Mio , Dave Dobbyn & Herbs,The Maori Volcanics and many more. The majority of these artists topped the charts not only in Australasia but in many countries around the world.Voices, songs and production all come together in this showcase of a country that punches above it’s weight in entertainment talent and has brought music lovers everywhere a great deal of pleasure.
