A Taste Of Honey February 20th 2014
The Admiral(pic.left) and I went sailing to Port Stephens and back last week. Our plans were immaculate-checked winds, tides, sandbars, distance and on the long hauls of 50 nautical miles we ran out of “puff”-beautiful blue skies (pic.right)every day, clear skies full of stars at night, sunshine, what more could two keen sailors ask for?
ANSWER-FAVOURABLE WINDS.Resigned to the fact that motoring was inevitable, out came the special iPod playlist and todays songs for cruisin’,eatin’ under the stars, motorin’ and sailin’ are featured-‘King Of The Road’ expresses that thing we love and should value – FREEDOM‘ ‘Feelin’Good’-thats being out there on the ocean just making sure the boat is looked after and the crew also and returning safely,‘Blue Skies’,’Catch A Falling Star’,’Catch The Wind’ (which we tried desparately to do)the list goes on -there is an endless choice of music for sailin’ programmes and this is just a snapshot to whet your appetite for all things BRINY and if thats not your thing then just settle back and listen to the music for its own sake -thanks Eric for fillin’ in for me last week-awesome playlist Bro!!!!!‘Home Is The Sailor ,Home From The Sea and The Hunter Home From The Hill’-Robert Louis Stevenson.
