A Taste Of Honey January 31 2013

I was very fortunate to work with Roxy Music(pic.left),Bryan Ferry,Andy McKay and Phil Manzanera who were the core of the band following Brian Eno’s departure and the track ‘Love Is The Drug‘ is timeless evidence of their songwriting talent.Cher (pic.rt) from the days of Sonny and Cher, has a unique place in the annals of popular music for her voice, her creativity and her chameleon like ability to change as required to endure at the top.Doo Wop also features today and I am continually in awe of the songs, the groups, the production values and the “heart’ that exists in these recordings-The Flamingos,The Crew Cuts,The The Tokens to name but a few of these vocal groups whose recordings still bring a smile to my face(and hopefully yours) whenever I listen to them and others from the era-I feel the same way when I listen to Chet Baker-hope you do too-hope you enjoyed today’s show-best Stu xx
