A Taste Of Honey July 26 2012

Fifty years into their career and the Beach Boys(pic left at their recent reunion) are still “making waves…”Thats Why God Made The Radio” is their new album(and their music still sounds great on the RADIO) and their span on the charts is 47 years -longer than any other group and only surpassed by Frank Sinatra whose chart career spans 52 years.Lisa Stansfield(pic.right) is one of the most beautiful artists I worked with although she did “shock’ me in Japan when she came into the  lounge of her hotel suite in curlers ,a quilted house coat and a cigarette in her mouth looking like a ‘Monty Python charlady’…but she was a STAR and could sing pop,electronica,club- dance with Massive Attack and Gershwin! so our contemporary stars are exactly that -STARS with great songs either original or by the masters….and Brian Ferry hanging with the Best on ‘A Taste Of Honey’-all part of the rich music featured each week right here on Eastside- drop me a note at stuart@eastsidefm.org.
