A Taste Of Honey June 4 2015
I choose my music for flying very seriously because I want to ‘zone out’ and make the time go very quickly. The music I choose for flying is predominantly singer/songwriter based because one can get engrossed in the lyrics while at 40,000 ft and get totally lost in th stories and the emotions of the songs by these great musical storytellers.
Pictured from left to right are Maddy Prior, Tim Hardin, k d lang and Tom Rush- story tellers all – in fact Tom Rush is credited by Rolling Stone magazine as being the artiste who ushered in the era of the singer/songwriter.Their contributions together with those from Michael Martin Murphy, Jackson Browne, Loggins and Messina, Sarah McLachlan,Fairport Convention, Justin Hayward and Dan Fogelberg make up this week’s “A Taste Of Honey” -I hope that you too are able to lose yourselves for a short tim in the words and music of these talented artistes- I did over 14 hours of flying and wanted to share the journey with you.
