A Taste of Honey June – COMING UP June 19 2014

Thursday mornings are extra special for me-it’s when I get to share great music with Eastside 89.7fm listeners who are made up of the general listening community,regular listeners to my show and financial supporters of the station who continue to make a quantitative statement on their behalf by continuing to subscribe to Eastside 89.7fm.

I love being part of the Eastside community made up from station volunteers(general volunteers,presenters and directors)and YOU,our listeners and supporters – it is always a pleasure to receive feedback from all areas in regard to not only my show but the station in general. I endeavour always to maintain a standard of presentation and content that continually endorses your commitment to the station.Not only is your personal and financial support appreciated by the station in general but I appreciate it very much and if you get a minute to tell a friend (or perhaps friends) about Eastside and its unique role in the community that would help us go a long way in continuing to grow the station.

This week it’s my annual hard sell together with my Eastside family, to ask our listening audience for some financial support to enable Eastside and our dedicated team of volunteers to continue to sustain our current programmes while developing new programmes and events for you and everyone in our Eastside community while continuing to provide great facilities for all our volunteers to enjoy each week while they perform their various roles at Eastside.

In between the announcements about the  prizes which are fabulous,you and any new supporters can win by being involved with this  year’s supporter drive, I have enlisted help from Stan Kenton, Billy May, Jools Holland, Nina Simone, Tony Bennett, Paul Anka, Michael Buble,Lena Horne, Alberta Hunter,McGuire Sisters,Frank Sinatra and more,that hit the right note with many listeners in the past twelve months.
