A Taste of Honey March 1st 2012

I watched the Academy Awards…recorded it thankfully as it was shown in the afternoon………used to be a show that rated with evening viewers !!……loved Billy Crystals’s return and the performance of the beautiful,talented Esperanza Spalding(pic.left) of “What a Wonderful World” to the images of talented movie personnel who left us during the past year was just so WORTH it……the right movie won(in my opinion) and this demonstrates that risk taking element that keeps those of us who love music and film coming back for more…playlist features Herb Alpert and Lani Hall…risky interpretations,ditto Esperanza’s’Wild Is The Wind’…and Frank,Dean & Sammy pushing the barriers by today’s standards(and from ’63) but that’s the human element missing today and its great!!!!..and in its it day ‘Bilitis’ challenged the establishment tastefully…. its a ‘Lush Life’ and I love it !!!!
