A Taste Of Honey OCtober 22 2015
637 km from the bottom of the Pyrenees in France to Santiago de Compostela in North Western Spain, 100 km from the Atlantic Ocean. Not just me, but my wife and two of our friends shared the experience over 28 days and several bottles of Tempranillo.
Impossible to fit all the trek hilites into 90 minutes of radio but together with help from 10cc, Crosby,Stills and Nash, Procul Harum, Chris Isaak, Glenn Frey, Emmy-Lou Harris, Simon and Garfunkel and several other tracks, I thought I would endeavour to share some of these hilites with the Eastside family of volunteers and our audience and in doing so perhaps inspire some of you to seriously think about making this journey or part of it in the future – at the very least continue to take the musical and total listening journey that is Eastside Radio.
Its great to be back home and I am looking forward to being back on air and part of the Eastside team once more.
I want to thank Phil James, Virginia Lowe, Eric Gyors and Toby Creswell for stepping in during my absence- Muchas Gracias Mi Amigos.
