Ann Cape – Selected Portraits

This July, Juniper Hall will play host to an exhibition of selected portraits by celebrated painter, sculptor and art teacher Ann Cape. The show, which is one of many to be featured in the next few months, is a celebration of the 2015 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, which honours the best portraiture artists in Australia.

Ann was selected to present her artworks at Juniper Hall to showcase more of her talent to the public. Her portrait Margaret Woodward at home was nominated for the Doug Moran award for 2014 and as a part of that honour her work was chosen to showcase leading up to the announcement of this years winner for 2015.

Cape has been an integral part of the art community for over 25 years. Her experience as a painter and sculptor lead to her to start teaching in many of arts most finest teaching institutions such as the Royal Art Society of NSW, the Willoughby Art Centre and various other art schools and TAFE colleges. She has also given numerous art workshops in Sydney and country centres.

Capes influence is boldly felt amongst artists in Australia. Her work has led to her involvement in the Advisory Committee Mosman Regional Gallery, the National Art School Alumni and FONAS, as well as also being a Fellow of the Royal Art Show.
