Antenna and Tribeca Hacks present a Documentary Hackathon
Antenna and Tribeca Hacks present a Documentary Hackathon
Antenna Documentary Film Festival, supported by Tribeca Hacks – an international series of workshops that brings together content creators and technology specialists – is presenting a Documentary Hackathon during the festival in October. This two-day intensive workshop aims to create connections between the documentary film industry and the tech/web design industry in Australia, and enables participants to walk away with a working prototype.
How the Hackathon works:
Filmmakers, technologists and web designers will be placed into teams to work on an interactive documentary concept over two intensive days. Kicking off with a keynote address from Ingrid Kopp, Director of Digital Initiatives at Tribeca Film Institute, the teams will then get down to the business of hacking. Teams will be supported by expert mentors in digital storytelling and tech, and the Hackathon will also include sessions on interactive funding opportunities and pitch training. At the end of the second day, teams will pitch their projects to a panel of experts and funders in the interactive field, to obtain feedback and advice.
