Antenna Documentary Film Festival 2016

Starting on 11 October, the Antenna Documentary Film Festival returns for its sixth edition and promises to be even bigger and at least as inspiring than it was the previous years.  Their recently announced program for 2016 includes a wide range of interesting non-fiction cinema with contributions for everyone – from confronting exposés and touching tributes to artistic explorations and virtual reality experiences – they’ve got it all!

With a total of 39 features, 6 virtual reality docs and 14 Australian shorts, Antenna brings audiences a series of confronting documentaries that push boundaries, ask the tough questions and tell incredible personal stories.

Antenna will pay homage to a documentary master – this year holding a tribute to the legendary artist and filmmaker Chantal Akerman, and plays host to industry with the return of Doctalk, Antenna’s seminar series. They are also announcing two new strands – Art Doc‘s and Horizon‘s.

This year it won’t just be Sydneysiders who experience the world’s best documentaries, as Antenna is excited to announce that they’re hitting the road, touring 10 of the best films from this year’s line up to Melbourne and Brisbane.
