Art & About 2012 opens with ‘Friday Night Live’ this week!

Friday Night LiveArt & About Sydney is a festival of ‘Art in unusual places’ and this year explores how colour affects and inspires us and our city.

The program of installations, exhibitions and events opens with Friday Night Live, a huge celebration at Martin Place from 6pm featuring music by The Bamboos, Van She, Rufus, Jingle Jangle & more.

The Art gallery of NSW, State Library of NSW, Australian Museum, Museum of Sydney and Customs House Library will be opening their doors until late with free bus rides between festival hotspots.

The closing party, A Moveable Feast, is also not to be missed; the event will transform George St (between Park & Bathurst St) into a street festival featuring food, music and film.

Art & About Sydney 2012 runs from Friday 21st September until Sunday 21st October, with an incredible range of events and activities, so get out and see what a show our fair city can put on!
