Arts Monday’s Jane Raffan interviews curator Michelle Linder about the Australian National Maritime Museum exhibition East of India: Forgotten Trade with Australia.

With a focus on the early years of the colony and the British East India Company, topics covered include ships and shipwrecks, rice and rum, officers and officials, sailors, soldiers and servants, as well as some of the great works on display.
