Arts Monday’s Jane Raffan interviews Rhonda Grovenor Dixon and Nadeena Dixon…

about the Struggle for Indigeous Rights and the legacy of their father & grandfather, the activist Dr Charles “Chicka” Dixon.

Dr Charles “Chicka” Dixon was one of Australia most prominent figures in the Struggle for Indigenous Rights.

His daughter, Rhonda Grovenor Dixon and granddaughter, Nadeena Dixon, continue his legacy with a project about his life and the movement, called “The Fox and the Freedom Fighters”. This project is an intensely personal one, documenting aspects of their personal family story, which is filled with music, politics, campaigning and the presence of ASIO keeping tabs on Chicka and his efforts in the Struggle.
