First up meet Belinda Von Mengerson, the Curator of Slipstitch, a new exhibition at Mosman Art Gallery. This is the first contemporary embroidery exhibition to be held in 3 decades.

Slipstitch shows how the notion of embroidery has been turned on its head and taken up by a young generation of artists, who tell stories and address issues through stitching. While some of the techniques employed might be centuries old, the narratives, fabrics and materials of contemporary embroidery have been updated to support the possibilities of contemporary art practice.

Then, with only a few days till Christmas join Annette Blinco as she describes how to set a Christmas table.

Annette’s spectacular Christmas table settings, combining tradition with a touch of whimsy, grace the dining room at Lindesay, a National Trust House at Darling Point, every year for the Lindesay Christmas Fair.

Join us around 11:15am on Thursday to set the Christmas table – from the cloth upwards – and be inspired by Annette’s approach to creating an enchanted festive atmosphere for guests.
