Arts Thursday: In Profile – Frank Howarth, Director of Australian Museum

Join Maisy Stapleton this Arts Thursday to meet the remarkable Director of the Australian Museum, Frank Howarth. Our discussion ranges over the challenges in running Australia’s oldest museum, its collections including those of Indigenous Australians and Frank’s observations about museums today.
Maisy will also be talking to Penelope Holden about the centenary of Eryldene, the fascinating house museum and garden at Gordon, which was commissioned 100 years ago by Professor Waterhouse, the Camellia specialist, to be designed by the ‘Colonial Revival’ architect William Hardy Wilson.
