At the risk of sounding boring, this week’s show is a replica of last week’s except that this week it really will take place. You just have to forgive the drastic technical glitch, which saw the program aborted. Sooooo, here we go again:
Ed Lippmann continues with Part 3 of our discussion on the vision for Sydney by the Greater Sydney Commission at about 10:40 am.
At 11:00 am I’ll play an interview I recorded with Patricia Azarias, who, with husband, John, has ben responsible for the restoration of the Lysicrates Monument and the Lysicrates Prize. Now, what’s all this, you are probably thinking! Well, it’s a story that starts with the great Dionysia in ancient Greece, continues in 19th century Sydney and then to today: theatre, drama, stonemasons, monument, drama competition and prize. You will just love this story and love Patricia as well!
Music is from the theatre or from Greece.
Do keep me company!
