ARTS WEDNESDAY 10 NOVEMBER 2010

Jonathan James joins us as usual for Now Showing at 9:45 am and Ed Lippmann will be in the studio at 10:10 am for the 5th episode of Sydney By Design in the current series.

My special guest this week is Carol Ruff, curator of Hula Dreams showing at her Gallery East in Clovelly. This is the third Hula Dreams show, where Carol invites artists to reinterpret the ukelele. Many paint them but the works are limited only by the artists’ imagination. It is a truly great fun exhibition. Carol is not only a gallerist, but also an artist, ukelele performer and teacher.

Carol is bringing along some ukelele music to punctuate our conversation and for the rest of the show, I’ll be playing music from other stringed instruments.
